Melissa Saucedo

20 years old - Coral Springs, Florida

Melissa started experiencing symptoms on December 28th, 2020 and tested positive for COVID on December 31st, 2020. She had a cough, sore throat, body aches, trouble breathing, fatigue, "brain fog"/ trouble focusing, and headaches for about a week.

After those symptoms diminished, she continued to have trouble breathing. When she sits down, lies down, and wears a mask for more than an hour, her nose feels stuffed. It feels as though she has to take deeper breaths for her lungs to feel "full".

On April 3rd, 2021, Melissa tested positive for COVID again. Thankfully, she did not experience any new symptoms during the second infection. She got the second dose of the Moderna vaccine about 2 weeks ago. Over the course of the last 5 months, her breathing has only slightly improved. Her intense breathing "relapses" happen less often.

Melissa hasn't noticed a significant improvement after receiving the vaccine, yet. The medications her doctor prescribed to her have not improved her condition, so she plans on trying new medications and making an appointment at a post-COVID care center (PCCC) soon.
